Does Amazon KDP accept Ecopyright certificates? +
KDP asks you to document your claim to the work, and that is what the certificate does: it carries your unique reference, SHA-256 hash, RFC 3161 timestamp and a public verification link, all dated. KDP decides each content dispute on its own facts, so we cannot promise an outcome - but a dated, independently verifiable record is the kind of evidence they ask for.
Should I copyright every draft or just the final version? +
For most authors, registering the completed manuscript is enough. But if your draft will be shared with beta readers, editors, agents or contest judges, register that version too - it's only $1 per token. Version tracking lets you link V1, V2, V3 to a single chain of evidence.
I co-authored my book. Can I add my co-author? +
Yes - free, unlimited. The "joint copyright holders" field lets you list every co-author who appears on the title page. All names appear on the certificate.
What about my book cover and illustrations? +

My publisher already has the rights. Do I still need this? +
