When we audited the global copyright registration market in 2024, we found something striking. The leading services were still running on WordPress installations and jQuery 1.x. None of them anchored their records to a public blockchain. None of them used AI for originality detection. None of them had API access. Their verification systems required passwords and could not be checked publicly.
And yet creators around the world were paying these services real money to be their proof of authorship. The trust they extended assumed infrastructure that did not exist.
We started Ecopyright to fix that. The premise is simple: in 2026, a copyright certificate should be independently verifiable, tamper-evident, and useful in seconds. It should not require a password to check. It should not depend on the registration company continuing to exist. It should be the kind of evidence that holds up in front of an Amazon IP team, a court of law, or a customer reading a portfolio.
